Volgograd police officers set off for Sochi

On the eve of the 2014 Olympic Games, the stages of the Cup of Russia and the European Cup will take place at the foot of the Main Caucasus Ridge in February 2012. The Alpine skiing competitions will be held at the ski resort "Rose Khutor" located in Krasnaya Polyana.

This competition will be the first training camp for law enforcement officers as well.

In order to ensure public order during the events, 300 police officers from Volgograd Oblast went to the competitions region as part of the combined Russian Interior Ministry unit.

Traffic policemen, non-departmental security and patrol officers will stay in Krasnodar Krai until March 3, 2012.
