The Samara militia television began with the release of the first program on January 24, 1997 on the TV channel "SKAT". It was hosted by Press Service Head Yury Levichev, today - a retired Police Lieutenant Colonel.
It was a challenge for the Samara law enforcement officers to do something they had never done before. None of them had a journalist education. "We learned how to produce newscasts. We gathered together to watch the program, share and offer ideas. Here is how it all began to spin", - says Yuri Levichev.
Years of hard work began. Press Service Heads and personnel came and go, yet the program remained. The policemen continued to try on the roles of journalists, cameramen and broadcasters. But at the same time, they always were the guardians of order in the first place performing their official duty.
Today the program celebrates the anniversary - 15 years from the day of the first broadcast. The program changed together with the Internal Affairs bodies. A new modern studio has been set up. Now, in the updated "workshop", Sergey Goldstein, the Head of the Press Service of Russia's MVD Main Administration for Samara Oblast masters the skill of the host of the program "Samara police. Law and Order".
