Volgograd police come to aid of local residents in severe frosts

In the recent days, severe frosts settled in Volgograd Oblast, which causes much trouble to the local residents practically on a daily basis. And once again, as the practice shows the citizens turn to the police for help.

In Volgograd's center at the bus stop "7th Gvardeyskaya", the road patrol officers noticed a young couple. The inspectors considered it their duty to ask the guy and the girl whether everything was ok with them, because it was very dark and extremely cold in the street.

As it turned out, on her way to the stop, the girl slipped and fell into a snowdrift cutting her wrist badly. Without wasting a minute, the inspectors took the girl and her companion to the nearest emergency room in the patrol car.

Road policemen at the checkpoint at the entrance to the Krasnooktyabrsky district render great assistance to the drivers. Often, in such cold weather diesel fuel freezes in the trucks passing in transit through our area, and the drivers always turn to the police for help. Inspectors will always help find the necessary parts for the car or start the engine, and will offer a warm place and hot tea to the driver.

An unpleasant incident occurred recently with the scheduled bus coming from the Republic of Dagestan. The bus broke down, and dozens of passengers including the driver found themselves in the street in the terrible cold.

Upon learning about the accident, the traffic police were immediately on the spot. All the passengers of the bus were provided with rest, food and lodging at a nearby school. Meanwhile, the bus was hauled to the nearest service station where the specialists replaced the necessary parts. In the morning, the scheduled bus continued on its way.
